We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced QAQC Engineer to join our team.
Position Overview
Support Project execution site team to deliver the project as per schedule, drawings, and specifications. Responsible for the assigned areas/packages, coordinate/perform the QA QC activities of the project including inspections, tests, and closeout requirements in accordance with project schedule, specifications, and contract requirements.
Responsibilities
- Understand all project contract documentation from Tender till construction including but not limited to the scope of works, deviations, conditions of contract, specifications, etc.
- Conduct day-to-day site surveillance, identify, record and communicate deficiencies to the team to avoid reoccurrence.
- Coordinate and ensure the subcontractors adhere to their ITP, inspections raised, inspected by the consultant, and ensure records are maintained.
- Prepare a detailed inspection schedule for the assigned areas/packages in line with the Project Program, identifying total number of inspections activity-wise each day/week/month, covering all activities.
- Ensure work inspections are conducted in coordination with the execution team, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Conduct material inspections in coordination with subcontractors and consultants to verify compliance with specifications.
- Have fair knowledge of MEP works for the areas responsible.
- Work with the relevant execution team for the implementation of agreed corrective actions planned/scheduled for each NCR and identified deficiencies.
- Conduct internal inspections to verify the implementation/effectiveness of preventive actions for site NCRs and deficiencies.
- Coordinate with Firestop Engineer and monitor the FLS activities executed as per specifications/drawing/Authorities requirements.
- Monitor all site installations against Authority requirements such as DEWA, DCD, DM regulations, etc.
- Review weekly/monthly deliverable status including Planned/Actual and resubmissions, Approval status for the assigned packages.
- Use analytical tools such as Power BI to assess KPIs, understand document trends, etc.
- Report to QA QC Manager any irrelevant rejections/comments leading to reworks on all project QA QC documentation.
- Have thorough knowledge of project closeout procedures.
- Coordinate and conduct snagging and de-snagging inspections with subcontractors, ALEC execution team, and consultants using digital snagging tools.
- After project closeout, assist DLP manager on day-to-day DLP activities and ensure timely completion of the defects according to escalation plans.
- Maintain Daily Site Diary in ALEC Server.
Minimum Requirements
- B. Eng degree or equivalent in Civil
- 5 years as QC engineer in a construction environment
