The QA/QC Deputy Manager will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of all project deliverables and processes onsite in the joint venture based in Abu Dhabi.
Reporting: Direct line to Project Director
This role requires expertise in quality assurance and quality control principles, as well as the ability to develop and implement QA/QC strategies, procedures, and metrics to uphold project standards and meet regulatory requirements. Aligning with the JV partner on key aspects of the mechanical systems will be critical for the success of the project.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive QA/QC program to ensure that project deliverables and processes meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
Engage with TPI, prepare RFQ, define scope, align on procedures, and define roles and responsibilities.
Collaborate with project stakeholders, including engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies, to establish QA/QC objectives, requirements, and performance criteria.
Establish QA/QC plans, procedures, and protocols for all project phases, from design and procurement to construction, commissioning, and handover, ensuring alignment with project goals and specifications.
Conduct quality audits, inspections, and assessments to monitor compliance with QA/QC requirements and identify areas for improvement or corrective action.
Develop and implement quality control measures, including inspection and testing protocols, to verify the quality of materials, components, and workmanship throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage and maintain QA/QC documentation and records, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and accessibility for stakeholders.
Provide training and guidance to project teams and subcontractors on QA/QC requirements, procedures, and best practices to promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformances, and deviations from QA/QC standards, implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
Monitor and analyze QA/QC performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement to project management teams.
Stay informed about advancements in QA/QC technology, methodologies, and industry best practices, and incorporate learnings into project QA/QC strategies and processes.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education requirement: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or equivalent.
Six Sigma, ASQ, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor experience is strongly preferred.
Proven experience in QA/QC management, preferably in large-scale construction or engineering projects in industrial or infrastructure sectors.
Strong understanding of QA/QC principles, practices, and methodologies, with expertise in quality management systems (QMS), inspection and testing techniques, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in QA/QC software and tools, such as quality management software (QMS), statistical analysis software, and document control systems.
Number of years of experience required: +15 years.
Geographic focus in Middle East / Abu Dhabi.
Mandatory proficiency in standard MS Office applications, as well as exposure to design aspects or similar and knowledge of MS Projects.
Ability to work in a JV environment and balance Company's minimum requirements with JV Partner requirements.
Working Conditions
Work requirement is to be physically on-site 5 days a week during working hours.
