QA Lead – Selenium Automation

Job Title: QA Lead Selenium Automation

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled QA Lead with expertise in Selenium Automation to lead our quality assurance efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and Agile methodologies. This role requires hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, scripting in languages such as Java/Python/JavaScript, and a deep understanding of test strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers in designing and executing automated testing strategies.
2. Develop, maintain, and enhance Selenium-based automation frameworks for web applications.
3. Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
4. Define and implement best practices for test automation, performance testing, and security testing.
5. Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure application stability.
6. Analyze test results, identify defects, and drive issue resolution with development teams.
7. Implement cross-browser and mobile testing strategies.
8. Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, actively participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
9. Stay updated with emerging test automation tools and trends, making recommendations for improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3+ years in test automation using Selenium.
2. Strong programming skills in Java/Python/JavaScript for writing automation scripts.
3. Experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber.
4. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
5. Proficiency in working with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
6. Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
7. Experience in performance testing using JMeter or similar tools is a plus.
8. Familiarity with BDD/TDD methodologies.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on test strategy and execution.
10. Excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
