QA Intern

Astra Tech is a UAE-based technology investment and development group, embarked on a mission to build the world’s first ultra platform & ecosystem, that will disrupt the consumer technology space by rethinking the boundaries of a digital ecosystem.

It will be the first of its kind in the MEA region to simplify the way people & businesses interact, engage, and transact with each other. The platform will provide seamless connectivity between consumers and businesses, enabling users to effortlessly access home, e-commerce, and fintech services in one place. Astra’s mission is to enrich people’s lives by making communication and e-commerce more seamless, connected, and natural.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the QA team in executing manual and automated test cases for various software applications.
• Document and report defects, working with developers and product teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in test planning, test case design, and execution of functional, regression, and performance tests.
• Assist in maintaining and updating test cases and test scripts.
• Review product requirements and provide feedback from a quality perspective.
• Support in identifying areas for process improvement and contribute to enhancing testing processes.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure software meets the required quality standards before release.

Experience Required

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Some software testing experience, either through previous internships, academic projects, or personal projects.
• Familiarity with QA methodologies and testing concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of basic programming or scripting languages is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow in the QA field.
