The Purchasing Officer is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, which includes sourcing vendors, negotiating for the best prices and payment terms, following up with vendors on pending purchase orders, and coordinating with the warehouse and project management team for smooth delivery of inventories.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of purchase requisitions based on internal requests.
Sending and following up with suppliers for purchase orders.
Updating the Account Manager / Project Managers on material ETA.
Supporting the internal order logging process.
Assisting Purchasing teams with day-to-day proceedings.
Interacting with freight forwarders to secure the best deals.
Maintaining files and data as per ISO standards using M-files.
Vendor management.
Contract administration.
Qualifications:
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree (Commerce preferred).
Desired: Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CIPS).
