Job Summary : Responsible for sourcing the best quality equipment, goods and services for a company or organization at the most competitive prices as well as oversee supply chain management and procurement.
Main Duties and Responsibilities :
Forecasting levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels.
Conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.
Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers.
Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them.
Negotiating and agreeing contracts and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of service provided.
Processing payments and invoices.
Keeping contract files and using them as reference for the future.
Forecasting price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier.
Giving presentations about market analysis and possible growth.
Developing an organization's purchasing strategy.
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
Evaluating bids and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors.
Perform cost and scenarios analysis and benchmarking.
Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
Competency Requirements :
3 – 5 Years of experience as a Purchasing Manager with Fine Dining Restaurant Concepts.
F&B Retail Industry experience is mandatory.
Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
Interest in market dynamics along with business sense.
Strong negotiation and networking skills.
Working experience of vendor management software.
Good decision-making abilities.
Strong leadership capabilities.
Ability to manage a team.
Degree in Supply Management, logistics or business administration.
