Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Purchasing Executive to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for our organization.

You will work closely with the Purchasing Manager to ensure that the purchasing system is effective and that all supplies, equipment, and relevant services are purchased while maintaining high-quality standards and cost-effectiveness. Your responsibilities will include processing payments for all projects as agreed, issuing purchasing orders for reimbursements and contract fees, processing budget setup in Oracle with the accounting team, conducting payment forecasts for all projects, and sourcing supplier data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and improve efficiency.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Manage the entire procurement process from requisition to delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and source appropriate products or services.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other relevant data.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, UAE regulations, and international trade laws.
  • Prepare and analyze procurement reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in purchasing and supply chain management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in any field.
Minimum 2-3 years of project and construction purchasing experience.
Working knowledge in project scheduling, purchasing, shipping, Incoterms, and processes.
Good team player with integrity, interpersonal, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and independently.
Strong writing, documentation, coordination, and analytical skills.
