Responsible for supporting product quality checks and coordinating orders. Collaborates with the Merchandiser, Customer Service, and warehouse to solve daily operations, manage wastage, and handle local market orders.
Managing Principals
Manages the purchase on a daily basis with the local market suppliers.
Negotiates prices with local suppliers in the market and conducts quality checks of items.
Prepares LPO and makes orders forecasting the required quantities of the local market.
Collaborates closely with the Merchandiser to address client needs, follow up on orders, and prevent picking errors.
Coordinates the stocks of the category by checking the quality and sending alerts to the Category Manager.
Works closely with the supply and demand planning team to communicate ETAs and lead times of orders and shipments.
Communication with the Sales Team
Communicates out-of-stock items to the Sales team in a timely manner to ensure smooth operations.
Communicates with the warehouse and customer service on a daily basis for daily orders of clients.
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience as a purchasing coordinator - preferably in fresh food.
