Pump Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and Commissioning
• Install, align, and test various types of pumps, motors, and mechanical equipment.
• Ensure proper electrical and mechanical connections during installation.
• Maintenance and Repair
• Perform routine maintenance, including lubrication, inspection, and adjustment of pumps and motors.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in pumps, motors, and associated equipment.
• Replace or repair defective components such as bearings, seals, impellers, and electrical wiring.
• Diagnostics and Testing
• Conduct vibration analysis, pressure tests, and performance evaluations to identify operational inefficiencies.
• Use tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, and oscilloscopes to assess electrical systems.
• Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain records of maintenance, repair activities, and parts inventory.
• Provide detailed reports on faults, repairs, and performance evaluations.
• Compliance and Safety
• Adhere to safety standards and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Follow guidelines related to electrical and mechanical equipment regulations.
• Collaboration
• Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to resolve complex technical issues.
• Provide training and guidance to junior technicians or apprentices as required.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems, including AC/DC motors, pumps, and control panels.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and fluid mechanics.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment for electro-mechanical systems.
• Qualifications:
• Diploma or certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in pump maintenance or a similar role is preferred.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Working Conditions

• Work may involve exposure to loud noise, rotating machinery, and varying environmental conditions.
• Availability for on-call work or emergency repairs may be required.

Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED1,500.00 per month
