Job Summary:
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for managing government relations, legal documentation, and compliance for the organization. The role includes handling official processes and documents related to immigration, visas, labor laws, trade licenses, and other governmental requirements. The PRO will ensure all documents are filed and maintained according to legal and regulatory standards while liaising effectively with relevant authorities and departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Government Relations:
Manage all formalities related to government and legal bodies, including immigration, labor department, and other government entities.
Keep the company updated on any changes in government regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
Visa and Immigration Processes:
Handle employee visa processes, including applications, renewals, and cancellations.
Ensure timely processing of work permits, residency permits, and any necessary employment documentation.
Coordinate with HR to ensure smooth onboarding of new employees through timely visa processing and documentation.
Trade License and Legal Compliance:
Manage the renewal and amendments of trade licenses, commercial registrations, and other legal documents.
Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure all licensing requirements are met and maintained.
Maintain records of all licenses and legal documents, updating departments about any renewals or changes.
Documentation and Filing:
Prepare and submit official documentation for the company and its employees to relevant government bodies.
Maintain a clear and organized filing system for all documents, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
Liaison and Coordination:
Act as the main point of contact between the company and various government entities.
Facilitate communication between internal departments and government bodies to ensure all official tasks are completed efficiently.
Coordinate with internal departments such as HR, Accounts, and Administration to manage tasks related to government requirements.
Other Responsibilities:
Manage company assets related to government formalities, such as Emirates ID, PEMO cards, and other essential cards.
Assist employees in understanding and completing necessary government procedures.
Regularly update management and relevant departments on the status of official requests, government processes, and potential delays.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in public relations, specifically with governmental procedures and documentation.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws, visa procedures, and government regulations.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Good communication skills to work effectively with different departments and government entities.
Working Conditions:
Office-based with frequent visits to government offices and other official locations.
May require flexibility in working hours to accommodate urgent governmental requirements.
