Job Description

• Monitor and understand current and future legislation and other regulatory requirements that impact on plastics usage.
• Understand the current Single Use Plastics regulations that are being implemented in UAE and other GCC countries.
• Understand EPR, Waste Managements, Recycling policies, organic waste collection ambitions and other initiatives that drive a more sustainable society.
• Establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders, decision makers, and opinion formers that will define the regulations that impact polymer usage.

The Successful Applicant

• Technical competence to understand and analyze the wide-ranging issues affecting the industry and their implications.
• Ability to communicate and negotiate professionally with a wide range of contacts.
• Thorough understanding of the legislative process in the UAE and other GCC countries.
• Excellent interpersonal as well as team player skills.
• Outstanding English and Arab language skills are essential.
• Entrepreneurial and agile mindset; ability to work in a fast-growing company where priorities could shift and 'the way we do things' still needs to be developed.
