Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Public Affairs Consultant to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a Public Affairs Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing our organization's reputation and relationships with stakeholders. Your expertise in public relations, government affairs, and strategic communication will contribute to the success of our marketing, advertising, and PR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, regulatory bodies, industry associations, community organizations, and media outlets.
  2. Public Relations: Develop and implement strategic public relations campaigns to enhance the organization's reputation and promote positive messaging.
  3. Government Affairs: Monitor government policies, regulations, and legislative developments relevant to the organization's industry and proactively engage with government officials and policymakers to influence policy decisions.
  4. Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis communication strategies and protocols to effectively manage and mitigate reputational risks.
  5. Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers, and serve as the organization's spokesperson when required.
  6. Strategic Communication: Develop and execute communication plans to ensure consistent and effective messaging across various channels, including press releases, speeches, presentations, and social media.
  7. Issue Advocacy: Identify emerging issues and trends that may impact the organization, develop advocacy strategies, and engage in proactive outreach and education efforts.
  8. Corporate Social Responsibility: Develop and implement corporate social responsibility initiatives and programs to enhance the organization's reputation and contribute to the community.
  9. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, and ensure the organization's activities align with legal and ethical standards.
  10. Stakeholder Analysis: Conduct stakeholder analysis and research to understand their interests, concerns, and perceptions, and develop targeted communication strategies accordingly.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus. Proven experience as a Public Affairs Consultant or similar role, preferably in the marketing, advertising, or PR industry. Strong understanding of public affairs, government relations, and strategic communication. Excellent knowledge of government processes, regulatory frameworks, and public policy issues. Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and deliver impactful presentations. Crisis management experience and the ability to handle sensitive and high-pressure situations. Familiarity with media relations and the ability to build positive relationships with media outlets and journalists. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective communication strategies. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Knowledge of the Abu Dhabi market, government structures, and industry landscape is a plus.
