Project Quality Manager

Roles and Responsibilities

• Minimum Overall 25+ years of oil & gas experience.
• Must have at least 8 to 10 years of experience working in Gas Processing & Gas Compression projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a MUST.
• FEED experience is a must.
• PMC & ADNOC experience is an added advantage.
• GCC experience required.

A Project Quality Manager (PQM) plays a crucial role in ensuring that all project deliverables meet the required standards and align with the project's objectives. Below are the key skills required for this role:

Technical Skills

1. Quality Management Systems (QMS):
   • Knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
   • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, or other quality improvement methodologies.
2. Project Management:
   • Understanding of project life cycles.
   • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or Jira).
3. Auditing and Compliance:
   • Conducting internal and external audits.
   • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
4. Risk Management:
   • Identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks related to quality.
   • Use of tools like FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
5. Data Analysis:
   • Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality control tools.
   • Use of software like Minitab or Excel for trend analysis and reporting.

Soft Skills

1. Attention to Detail:
   • Ability to identify issues and discrepancies in deliverables.
2. Problem-Solving:
   • Developing corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
3. Communication:
   • Clear communication with stakeholders about quality expectations, gaps, and improvements.
4. Leadership:
   • Leading cross-functional teams to meet quality objectives.
   • Training and mentoring team members on quality standards.
5. Negotiation and Conflict Resolution:
   • Resolving disputes related to quality expectations or deliverables.

Certifications (Optional but Beneficial)

1. Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or equivalent.
2. Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt.
3. PMP (Project Management Professional).
4. ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification.
