Project Planner (Fit out)

Job Purpose:

To prepare Project work programs as per the guidelines provided by the Planning Manager and monitor the progress of Projects against the plan to ensure its completion within the specified time frame.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the work programs specifying time required to complete each process of Projects such as material procurement mobilization, installation, manpower requirement etc.
• Prepare master projects schedule and plans during tender and program to the Planning Manager / Production Execution team and clients (where required) for review and approval
• Monitor closely each process of the project in co-ordination with the Planning Manager to ensure that the plan is being followed properly and the work is proceeding as per the programme. Prepare reports on progress and causes of programme/ progress variations.
• Attend monthly review meetings, prepare and submit report to management as required. Also review monthly progress report for all the projects based on site visit and production progress review.
• Prepare project progress report for the perusal of the management highlighting the achievement against program and in case of a delay investigate the cause and suggest corrective action to redeem the situation
• Co-ordination with Design Department and Procurement department to manage timely submissions and material lead times ensuring smooth project progress.
• Tracking of long lead materials both from purchase department and subcontractors.
• Providing monthly progress update to the respective QS to help in preparing monthly progress/ variation invoices.
• Prepare labor monitoring reports for joinery department on budget vs actual for each project and to reports deviation on labor cost.

Skills & Experience

• Min 4 years planning experience in fit out/ joinery
• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering with Good working knowledge of Primavera/ MS Projects is essential
• Excel and Project Trackers
• MS Project or Primavera
• Good knowledge of Construction business gained through formal training or minimum 2 - 4 years of experience in construction, experience in Joinery preferred
• Good knowledge of construction / Joinery processes
