Job description

Job Purpose:

To prepare turnkey project work programs as per the guidelines provided by the Project Manager/ Estimation Manager and monitor the progress of the project against the plan to ensure its completion within the specified time frame.

Functional Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the work programs specifying time required to complete each process of construction such as material procurement mobilization, installation, manpower requirement etc.
  • Prepare master project schedule and plans during tender and program to the Construction Manager / Project Execution team and clients (where required) for review and approval.
  • Monitor closely each process of the project in co-ordination with the Construction Manager/ planning engineer to ensure that the plan is being followed properly and the work is proceeding as per the programmer. Prepare reports on progress and causes of programmer/ progress variations.
  • Attend monthly project review meeting with Consultant / Project Management representative, prepare and submit report to management as required. Also review monthly progress report for all the projects based on site visit and project progress review.
  • Prepare project progress report for the perusal of the management highlighting the achievement against program and in case of a delay investigate the cause and suggest corrective action to redeem the situation.
  • Co-ordination with Design Department and Procurement department to manage timely submissions and material lead times ensuring smooth project progress.
  • Tracking of long lead materials both from ATS purchase department and subcontractors.
  • Providing monthly progress update to the respective QS to help in preparing monthly progress/ variation invoices.
  • Preparation of critical path analysis and impact program in assessment of EOT
  • Prepare labor monitoring reports for turnkey and joinery department on budget vs actual for each project and to reports deviation on labor cost.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering with Good working knowledge of Primavera/ MS Projects is essential.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in fit out/ joinery
  • Good knowledge of Construction business gained through formal training or minimum 2 - 4 years of experience in construction, experience in fit out preferred.
  • Good knowledge of construction processes
  • Knowledge of MS Project or Primavera
  • Attention to detail and concern for time Knowledge and Skills
