Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Scheduling & Planning:
    Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules for civil engineering projects, including construction, infrastructure, and land development projects.
    Work closely with the project manager and team to define project objectives, scope, and milestones.
    Create detailed timelines, sequencing, and critical path analysis to ensure on-time project delivery.
  2. Resource Allocation & Management:
    Plan and allocate resources (labor, materials, equipment) effectively to avoid project delays.
    Track and ensure optimal use of resources throughout the project's lifecycle.
    Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  3. Budgeting & Cost Control:
    Assist in estimating the cost of construction activities and create budget forecasts.
    Monitor project expenses against the budget and suggest corrective actions when necessary.
    Ensure that projects are executed within the approved budget.
  4. Risk Management:
    Identify potential risks in the project schedule or budget, such as delays, shortages, or regulatory issues, and work on mitigating strategies.
    Update risk assessments regularly and work with the project team to adjust plans as needed.
  5. Monitoring Progress & Reporting:
    Track daily, weekly, and monthly project progress to ensure adherence to the established schedule.
    Provide accurate progress reports to project managers and stakeholders, highlighting any issues or delays.
    Implement corrective actions when the project is behind schedule or deviating from the plan.
  6. Coordination & Communication:
    Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, contractors, and other project team members to ensure proper alignment and execution of the project plan.
    Organize and participate in project meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and discuss upcoming tasks.
    Ensure that all project plans and updates are well-communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
  7. Documentation & Compliance:
    Maintain and organize project documentation, including schedules, contracts, and reports.
    Ensure that all activities and timelines comply with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements.
    Review project drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with schedule and project goals.
  8. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement:
    Monitor the quality of work to ensure it aligns with project specifications.
    Identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement in the planning process and recommend solutions.
    Ensure the team adheres to industry standards and best practices in project management.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Project Planner or Scheduler in civil or construction projects.
  3. Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools.
  4. Solid understanding of civil construction processes and phases (earthworks, concrete, structural, MEP, etc.).
  5. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
  6. Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Knowledge of local construction codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification.
  2. Experience with project cost estimation and budget management.
  3. Familiarity with advanced scheduling techniques, such as Earned Value Management (EVM).
  4. Experience working with large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, bridges, buildings).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month

  1. Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
