The Project Manager Water is the interface between the Employer and the contractor and is responsible for the successful delivery of the project to the required standard and programme.
Working as part of a small team, the Project Manager will need to have excellent communication skills and proven abilities to manage the main contractor, subcontractors, and the Supervision Consultant to ensure the project is delivered to the highest quality.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrable experience of preparing Testing and Commissioning Plans and delivering on site.
Demonstrable experience of delivering complex infrastructure projects.
Demonstrable knowledge/experience of successful project delivery of complex projects with multiple interfaces.
Comfortable interacting with all levels of management.
Construction management experience.
Ability to clearly communicate project objectives to the team to ensure clarity of direction and that critical activities are achieved.
Monitor Supervision Consultants' performance with respect to contractor/subcontractor submittals and QA/QC and recommend corrective action when required.
Ensure robust adherence to procedure whilst looking for continuous improvement.
Ensure programme construction with correct logic and sequencing to meet contract requirements and constraints.
Maintain an understanding of the contract documents, codes of practice, standards, and specifications.
Provide consistent and proactive reporting at project delivery team and business level.
Understand the financial implications of the methods and sequences of construction that are proposed and planned.
Qualifications:
BE (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
Middle East project experience is preferred, ideally within the infrastructure sector, particularly water/utilities.
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in construction project management.
Proven ability to perform in a technical role, possess good written and oral communication skills, and have a thorough understanding of HSEE and industry practices and regulations.
