Royal Joinery has its own dedicated workshop to assist clients on high profile projects that require international expertise and a degree of workmanship that eliminates the need to source sub-contractors and third-party furniture suppliers. Our primary focus is on carpentry and woodwork specialties across a wide variety of projects and sectors through the delivery of sophisticated qualified experts in their field and innovative techniques and equipment.

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the fit-out phase of RJ projects within the schedule and budget while meeting or exceeding quality standards. The role will involve coordinating and liaising closely between clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Support the project teams in all aspects of fit-out and finishes, including design development, procurement, and construction.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY / BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES

1. Design & Construction Process: Manage the design and construction process for fit-out projects, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
2. Design Management: Undertake full design management and manage design teams in the development of design solutions to meet the client’s expectations and budget.
3. Team Lead: Manage project teams to ensure that the contractor’s design is done in compliance with the contract.
4. Contract Administration: Administer complex contracts, proactively managing and confirming the compliance of contractors/consultants to the contract terms and conditions.
5. Site Inspections: Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor the progress, quality, and safety of work performed by a contractor.
6. Compliance: Ensure compliance throughout all projects with relevant specifications, standards, health and safety regulations, environmental policies, and general duty of care.
7. Procurement: Support in the compilation of tender documents and critically reviewing tender returns, contract negotiations, award of contracts and client reporting.
8. Meetings: Lead project meetings and communicate project status and issues to stakeholders.
9. Project Documentation: Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and other project-related documentation.
10. Ad-hoc Reporting: Prepare and deliver ad hoc reports required by General Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in construction management/ engineering or related discipline.

Proven experience as a Project Manager in the joinery | Fit Out industry.

Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, materials, and processes.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

5 Years’ experience in delivering Fit-out projects (Joinery).

Commercial & Hospitality industry experience is highly desirable.

TECHNICAL KSAs/ CERTIFICATIONS, ETC.

Strong verbal and written communication skills both in Arabic and English.

Professional level experience in projects operation practices and systems such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Procore.

Good understanding of construction contracts, and leases able to interpret drawings and specifications.

Professional certification in project management, such as PMP, is a plus.
