Project Manager - Roads and Infrastructure

Sobha Constructions is a fast-growing construction company in the Middle East with a vision to be a pioneer in redefining the quality standards in construction. We are looking to hire an individual who can work in a fast-paced environment and efficiently draw look-ahead plans.

Job Purpose

To manage the project according to the Project Management Plan and to ensure safe, high quality, timely and profitable project execution.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Organization:

  1. Establish and motivate a balanced project team, which is aware of their tasks and responsibilities.
  2. Responsible for setting up and maintenance of the Project Management Plan.
  3. Responsible for the setting up and maintenance of the Project Quality Plan.
  4. Attend formal meetings with the Client/Consultant.
  5. Managing the Projects including cost proposals, shop drawing submission, NOC submissions, Execution, As-built submission and Close out.
  6. Organise internal meetings.
  7. Responsible for the relationship with all internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Continuously motivate the team members for improvement suggestions and implement the valid ideas (Including staff and technicians).
  9. Ensure Safety standards are being maintained in the project and reduce the HSSE score gaps through various initiatives.

Efficiently utilize the manpower, materials & PME; & initiate actions to control the prelims at site.

Commercial

  1. Responsible for the overall commercial strategy.
  2. Responsible for Claims and Variation Order Management.
  3. Establish and maintain the relationship with the Client.
  4. Ensure the continuous improvement of the project result.
  5. Ensure the technical and commercial reviews of subcontracts and suppliers.
  6. Approve all subcontracts and purchases.
  7. Ensure that the project cost is within the budget.
  8. Review of Project Profit & Loss.

Progress:

  1. Responsible for the setting up and maintenance of the contractual project schedule, including design and procurement.
  2. Responsible for the internal progress schedule including all related schedules such as design, procurement, temporary works, equipment, human resources etc.
  3. Responsible for the regular and timely reviews of the progress, and implementation of corrective actions where appropriate.
  4. Ensure stability and capability in the assigned area through effective and consistent DWM monitoring.
  5. Adhere to the Project program and initiate actions as per the DWM gap analysis for any delays occurred.
  6. Analyse and identify the low productivity areas. Prepare an action plan for productivity improvement and adhere to the same.
  7. Ensure timely measurements and invoicing to the Client.
  8. Ensure timely payment by the Client.
  9. Ensure timely closing of the accounting books for cost control purposes.
  10. Ensure the acknowledgement of commitments accruals at cost and revenue side.
  11. Ensure the preparation and review of the weekly, monthly, quarterly cash forecasts.

Qualification & Experience:

Min Qualification:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.

Min Experience:
5 to 10 years of practical experience in UAE with leading infrastructure, roads, and utilities companies only.
