Job Purpose
To manage the project according to the Project Management Plan and to ensure safe, high quality, timely and profitable project execution.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Organization:
- Establish and motivate a balanced project team, which is aware of their tasks and responsibilities.
- Responsible for setting up and maintenance of the Project Management Plan.
- Responsible for the setting up and maintenance of the Project Quality Plan.
- Attend formal meetings with the Client/Consultant.
- Manage the projects including cost proposals, shop drawing submission, NOC submissions, execution, as-built submission, and close out.
- Organise internal meetings.
- Responsible for the relationship with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuously motivate team members for improvement suggestions and implement valid ideas (including staff and technicians).
- Ensure safety standards are being maintained in the project and reduce the HSSE score gaps through various initiatives.
Efficiently utilize manpower, materials & PME; initiate actions to control the prelims at site.
Commercial:
- Responsible for the overall commercial strategy.
- Responsible for claims and variation order management.
- Responsible for risk management.
- Establish and maintain the relationship with the Client.
- Ensure continuous improvement of the project result.
- Ensure technical and commercial reviews of subcontracts and suppliers.
- Approve all subcontracts and purchases.
- Ensure that the project cost is within budget.
- Review project profit & loss.
Progress:
- Responsible for the setting up and maintenance of the contractual project schedule, including design and procurement.
- Responsible for the internal progress schedule including all related schedules such as design, procurement, temporary works, equipment, human resources, etc.
- Responsible for regular and timely reviews of the progress, and implementation of corrective actions where appropriate.
- Ensure stability and capability in the assigned area through effective and consistent DWM monitoring.
- Adhere to the project program and initiate actions as per the DWM gap analysis for any delays occurred.
- Analyse and identify low productivity areas. Prepare an action plan for productivity improvement and adhere to the same.
Financial:
- Ensure timely measurements and invoicing to the Client.
- Ensure timely payment by the Client.
- Ensure timely closing of the accounting books for cost control purposes.
- Ensure acknowledgment of commitments – accruals at cost and revenue side.
- Ensure preparation and review of the weekly, monthly, and quarterly cash forecasts.
- Ensure that the project cost is within budget.
- Review project profit & loss.
Qualification & Experience:
Min Qualification: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
Min Experience: 5 to 10 years of practical experience in the UAE with leading infrastructure, roads, and utilities companies only.
