Job description

The job involves handling projects worth between AED 5 million and AED 100 million or more. You will be in charge of one or more locations in the UAE, but the number of locations you manage at the same time will depend on the project's budget limits. This ensures the work stays manageable and within the assigned scope.

Principal Accountabilities

  1. Understand the evolution of project concept designs, scope & complexities of the project to draw down a smooth implementation plan.
  2. Coordinating with Consultants and Contractors to ensure effective execution of the project.
  3. Study & review the tender documents of projects so that the best bidder is awarded with the most competitive terms.
  4. Monitor and take actions to ensure that the project execution in all parameters will accomplish completion with Quality Workmanship within Cost budget and Time frame.
  5. Review regularly approvals for selected materials & shop drawings of sample items & mockups to achieve full compliance and avoid delays.
  6. Attend meetings periodically with Consultants and Contractors and prepare a weekly progress report of the job.
  7. Verify the variations for Addition, Omission & time implications to take timely corrective measures.
  8. Effectively supervise compliance with regulations & ensure safe execution so that the project does not default on any Municipal or other Authorities regulations at any point in time.
  9. Receive the program of work and attend to full compliance with it by providing timely decisions, anticipating and avoiding obstructions, and applying recovery techniques or penalties.
  10. Seek advice from superiors, peers, and external experts whenever appropriate or available. Share experience and solutions with other members of the PDM team.

Requirements

  • Minimum educational professional and vocational qualification required: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or other relevant field. Familiar with FIDIC terms of Contract.
  • Minimum years of relevant work experience: 10 years.
  • Good at communication, supervisory skills, strict in discipline, and of very high ethics & integrity.
