Project Manager – Physical Oil Trading Software Implementation

Location: Dubai

Our client, a market-leading supplier of Energy Trading and Risk Management Systems, is currently looking for a new Project Manager to join their team in a client-facing role.

This client is best known for their leading software solution in the ETRM space. They are experts in the commodity trading industry, and the chosen candidate will have great exposure within this space and the privilege to work with their top list of clients.

The role will involve working with numerous areas of the financial markets, including OTC Trading, Physical Logistics, Credit Risk, Derivatives, Futures, Options, Counterparty risk, and Regulatory Compliance.

This will give the right candidate the opportunity to develop their technical skills and gain valuable industry knowledge.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

1. Strong knowledge of physical oil trading
2. Project Management (lead a team in a fast-paced environment)
3. Able to write functional specifications
4. Hands-on implementation, business, and technical troubleshooting skills
5. Bulk commodity trading knowledge
6. Knowledge of futures oil
7. Technical knowledge – scripting in Java or other languages.
