Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of projects by ensuring the technical schedule and financial goals are met as set out by Management and the Terms & Conditions of the contract.

  1. Implement site regulations and measure personnel discipline.
  2. Meet contract requirements in terms of scope, performance, schedule, budget, quality, and safety.
  3. Manage risks in all aspects of the project from cost estimation during tendering to technical limitations, site constraints, and mitigation.
  4. Predominantly based on-site and report to management at agreed intervals.
  5. Coordinate necessary design for project execution.
  6. Approve all important commercial, administrative, or technical documents and correspond with clients/consultants in line with company guidelines.
  7. Oversee project performance and administration activities including planning, scheduling, budgeting, invoicing, and accounting.
  8. Monitor change orders, additional works, variations, and claims according to established contract procedures.
  9. Analyze work performed daily, weekly, and monthly, assessing consequences as needed.
  10. Lead contractual negotiations with potential subcontractors and suppliers.
  11. Execute the handover procedure of projects with the client's representative within the assigned schedule.
  12. Follow up on the acceptance and certification of all Payment Applications submitted to the Client.
  13. Control costs during the project period by comparing and documenting the budget vs. actual costs on a monthly basis.
  14. Delegate and organize project activities.
  15. Develop and implement work schedules, method statements, and all other requirements to optimize project execution.
  16. Implement and maintain complete QA/QC related documents, material submittals, specifications, and conduct clarification and coordination meetings with subcontractors and suppliers.
  17. Coordinate with other divisions regarding resources.
  18. Prepare pre and post-contract documentation for commercial awareness of contractual issues.
  19. Approach potential clients for further project acquisition.
  20. Lead the tender process as per company guidelines.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor of Engineering from a reputed university.
  2. Minimum of 10 years of similar experience.
