Retain existing clients and nourish relations through regular communication with client decision makers, and secure new contracts.
Review contract documents for client’s requirements and execute works within its scope.
Perform field review and inspection of assigned projects and suggest improvement plans to the client for approval.
Ensure all projects are supported and have the services required for the projects to succeed.
Manage the day-to-day activities of all projects under supervision.
Execute the project in accordance with the work schedule and as per the contract requirement.
Manage resources (manpower, equipment, etc.) and project expenses to achieve contract completion within budget and time, without any major accidents and attempt to exceed budgeted profit.
Ensure that the project’s performance is monitored throughout, and timely preventive & corrective actions are taken.
In coordination with supervisors, monitor the performance of employees on site and develop their skills.
Responsible for all administration, contractual, technical, and financial issues (in coordination with GM and OM) that are related to the project.
Establish and maintain project folder on the server: all soft copy of documents related to the specific project must be placed there. (In conjunction with HR, Accounts, Procurement and Design)
Implement and interpret department policies, standards, and procedures.
In conjunction with HR, plan for proper training of employees where challenges in required skills are identified to develop the skills of the workforce to help the organization in its growth.
Follow the proper channels (submit a written request and get it approved by OM) for reactive and proactive forecasting such as overtime and/or extra manpower required.
Evaluate the performance of Supervisors operating on PM’s sites and submit to HR.
Ensure that the historical experience from executed projects is utilized in the new tenders.
Review enquiry documents, study specifications and drawings for anomalies.
Send clarifications/queries to clients, attend pre-tender meetings and site visits.
Bid and estimation preparation: prepare construction schedules, manpower and equipment estimation, material requirements.
Review estimates and costs with General Manager and Operation Manager.
Implement and monitor Company Quality HSE & ISM Safety Management System to the full project team at all locations.
Interaction with the project team on a day-to-day basis; with other heads of the departments, sections on requirement basis.
On projects, the interaction with the client is through the Project Manager. Interaction with subcontractors and suppliers also, either directly or through department/section heads.
Maintain a healthy & safe environment at the workplace.
Follow the rules and regulations according to the company policy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a relevant field.
Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
