Job Title: Project Manager - HVAC and Solar

We are looking to hire a Project Manager - HVAC and Solar who will be responsible for reviewing the technical approval processes, conducting site inspections, overseeing testing, commissioning, and ensuring successful project execution and handover for our client based in Dubai – which is a leading semi-government organization. This position will be a contract role starting with 12 months and renewable. The role sits within the Energy and Sustainability department and will be reporting to Senior Manager.

You will be extensively working on solar PV projects, focusing on project management, vendor coordination, design review, HOTO (Handover-Takeover), and commissioning. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful implementation and optimization of solar PV systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
2. Conduct site inspections and oversee contractor activities to verify compliance with project specifications and quality control measures.
3. Develop detailed electrical designs, layouts, and plans for solar PV projects, optimizing system performance and efficiency.
4. Design HVAC systems for solar projects and implement monitoring systems to track the performance of both the HVAC and solar systems to ensure they are operating efficiently.
5. Coordinate closely with contractors and stakeholders during the installation phase to ensure smooth execution, perform design review, and timely completion of testing and commissioning activities.
6. Review and finalize project close-out reports, obtaining approvals and ensuring completion of all documentation.
7. Conduct thorough site evaluations and assessments to assess feasibility and solar potential, providing technical insights and recommendations.
8. Perform detailed technical analyses and calculations related to electrical systems, ensuring compatibility and reliability of components.
9. Manage handover and takeover documentation (HOTO), operation, maintenance manuals, and site audits to ensure safe operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
2. Certification as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Project Management Professional (PMP) will be an advantage.
3. Any Solar PV Certification is an advantage.
4. 5 – 7 years of related experience as Project Manager or Project Engineer or Site Engineer with Solar PV projects.
5. 2 - 3 years of experience in energy consulting firms, renewable energy companies, engineering firms with energy practices, sustainability-focused companies, or construction and infrastructure firms.
6. Well aware of technical requirements, project designs, product deliverables, and permit approval processes.
7. Solid understanding of energy systems, renewable energy technologies, and energy efficiency measures.
8. Proficiency in MS Office suite.
9. Should hold a valid UAE Driving license.
