Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. This is a full time onsite position with business trips.

Key Objectives

• The safe and effective delivery of a portfolio of brownfield critical projects.
• Management of the project from Design through to Handover to Operations.
• Establishment and management of the project team.
• Provide certainty and confidence to the client and Wood project sponsor.
• Deliver the assigned projects within the established commercial framework.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Project Execution

• Technical and commercial responsibility for execution of the contract.
• P & L responsibility with associated commercial and financial accountability.
• Organize the project team, define individual responsibilities.
• Identify and communicate project team objectives.
• Delegate work to the project team members.
• Provide leadership and management.
• Develop and maintain effective working practices.
• Coordinate site supervision work.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications.
• Contributes to and reviews project proposals.
• Negotiates changes to project scope or specification.

Leadership

• Guides and directs project team including external specialists.
• Is an advocate and role model for ethical behaviour.
• Coaches, mentors and empowers others.

Working Relationships

Internal

• Provides the interface and maintains effective relationships with other contributors.
• Guides and directs project team and functional support teams.

External

• Primary point of contact for customer on assigned scope.
• Establishes and maintains a positive relationship with customers.

Qualifications

Expected

• B.S. or equivalent degree in Engineering.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant experience in major Brownfield oil & gas projects.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

• Demonstrable ability to manage EPC and / or EPCM contracts.
• Specific experience managing lump sum Oil and Gas projects in the GCC region.
• Thorough understanding of project management techniques.
