Job description

The Project Manager – Marketing Technology (MarTech) is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of MarTech projects, from defining objectives to planning, execution, and delivery. This role involves managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget across multiple geographies. Key responsibilities include resource planning, coordinating team efforts, and collaborating with external consultants or contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.

The role of the Project Manager will focus on the successful launch of a Multichannel Marketing Automation Platform. Responsibilities include planning and managing the migration from the current platform to the new one, and assisting the Expertise Lead in optimizing or establishing a BAU process across both new and existing geographies. Additionally, the Project Manager will collaborate with other specialists to achieve the team's overall mission.

Key Result Areas

  1. Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders ensuring technical feasibility.
  2. Identify all the phases, activities and efforts needed to complete the project.
  3. Ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and within scope and approved budget.
  4. Expertise in the areas of Project Management, Product Management, and process optimization.
  5. Define and collect metrics to track project progress and ensure the deliverables produced are in compliance with agreed Quality measures.
  6. Perform resource planning to identify all of the resources required to complete the project successfully.
  7. Develop comprehensive project plans and establish baselines to track progress.
  8. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and project stakeholders in accordance with the communication method and frequency agreed.
  9. Direct and manage the project development throughout its life cycle: initiation, planning, execution, closure.
  10. Track and manage defects and fixes wherever necessary.
  11. Document all the project inter-dependencies and list assumptions and constraints.
  12. Manage project dependencies and critical path.
  13. Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  14. Monitor the project budget, ensure project deliverables are within agreed budget.
  15. Responsible for optimal conflict resolution within the project team.
  16. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  17. Support the Expertise Lead to manage the delivery of projects and/or lead daily/weekly stand-ups and meetings.
  18. Oversee the execution of the strategy, monitor the team’s progress, and make adjustments as needed to ensure successful implementation.
  19. Monitor the planning, budget and requirements and complete backlog items during sprints.
  20. Has up-to-date knowledge of the MarTech domain and the underlying application architecture + relevant IT landscape and knowledgeable on IT opportunities to support business goals.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Minimum of 5 years of banking experience, other related project work experience, or demonstration of high level of understanding of the banking industry.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience gathering requirements and translating into user requirements, data engineering, data science, or software engineering experience.
  3. Background in engineering, marketing technology, technology or UX preferred.
  4. Experience in Agile methodologies.
  5. Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
  6. Excellent communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort in speaking with senior leaders.
  7. Must be a strong collaborator, team player, and individual contributor.
  8. Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  9. Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically.
  10. Brings a high-energy and passionate outlook to the job and can influence those around them.
  11. Able to build a sense of trust and rapport that creates a comfortable & effective workplace.
