Project Management Coordinator – FMCG

Our client is a multinational beverage manufacturer with plants across the entire Middle East, Africa, and Asia region. They are looking to recruit a Project Management Coordinator to be based in Dubai where you will manage / coordinate projects.

Role Description:
Reporting directly into the Regional Chief Engineer who is also based in Dubai, your main responsibility will be to assist and support different countries in developing their major investments for new lines, production extensions, and new Greenfield developments.

An addition to the above, you will also be responsible for the following:

1. Liaise with the local Project / Engineering Managers to ensure the projects will be successfully completed within the agreed manufacturing performance goals, timeframe, and budgets.
2. Ensure the factories are compliant with safety and environmental regulations and guidelines.
3. You will occasionally be involved in due diligence exercises as part of our acquisition strategy.
4. Play a large role in training and developing local engineers.
5. Review project designs and specifications with markets and suppliers.
6. Advise the different markets on the preparation of documentation required to present investment plans to management.
7. Assist to identify the project teams.
8. Stay in constant communication with the project team (who are on the ground) to ensure they are meeting the project milestones.
9. Once the projects are completed, you will also lead the post-project evaluation to capture learning to be used on future projects.

Who we're looking for:
The successful candidate must hold an engineering university degree (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial) with a minimum of 5 years experience in a Project Management role within the beverage manufacturing industry. Experience of factory engineering management would be beneficial. You must have strong communication skills as the role largely depends upon influencing decisions and authority through personal attributes rather than formal authority. This role will require extensive travel across Asia.
