Project Finance Specialist

Responsible for implementation of all aspects of project finance for clinical research activities including building project billing forecasts, billing, management of transactions, payment reconciliation and allocation. Manage & analyze project budgets, utilization, scope and risks. Develop and follow workflows. Timely execution of monthly/yearly accountancy closure, financial reports, audits.

Responsibilities:

• Providing financial analysis and support for projects within Research organization.
• Maintaining and updating rate sets, revenue plans, billing plans, milestones, contract data, payment schedules and expense forecast.
• Work closely with project managers and finance teams to evaluate the financial feasibility of projects, assess risks, and help develop financial strategies to ensure project completion meets/exceeds its EBITDA target.
• Conducting financial analysis for potential projects, including evaluating revenue projections, costs, and return on investment.
• Assisting in the development of project budgets and financial models.
• Performing risk analysis and identifying potential financial risks associated with projects.
• Collaborating with project managers to track project expenses and ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
• Providing strategic financial guidance to project teams to help mitigate risks and maximize project profitability.
• Monitoring project financial performance and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance to the monthly/quarterly/half yearly and annual account closing commitments.
• Developing financial reports and presentations for senior management.
• Participating in project meetings and providing financial insights and recommendations.
• Keeping up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in project finance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Additional certifications such as CFA or CPA is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Strong background in finance, financial analysis, and project management.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
