Job summary
MISSION:
Responsible for overseeing the engineering design, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring all work is completed to client specifications and industry standards.
TASKS:
Project Engineering Oversight:
- Lead and manage the engineering activities of the project, ensuring alignment with project objectives, client requirements, and ADNOC standards.
- Oversee the design and installation of compressors, including coordination with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure proper integration and performance.
- Ensure that all engineering deliverables, such as drawings, specifications, and calculations, are completed on time and meet the required technical standards.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership for all engineering disciplines involved in the project, including mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams.
- Resolve technical issues related to the design, installation, and operation of compressors and other equipment, working closely with vendors, contractors, and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes and standards such as API, ASME, and other local and international regulations.
Coordination with Contractors and Vendors:
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure the technical requirements for compressors and related systems are met.
- Oversee the procurement of compressor systems and equipment, ensuring that all purchased items meet project specifications and ADNOC standards.
- Manage technical communication between engineering teams and vendors during the design, fabrication, and installation phases.
Standards Compliance:
- Ensure that all engineering activities conform to ADNOC standards and procedures, including the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment.
- Monitor the project’s compliance with ADNOC’s health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines, ensuring all engineering practices prioritize safety and sustainability.
- Prepare and review technical documentation required for ADNOC approval, including design calculations, engineering reports, and compliance certifications.
Project Management:
- Develop detailed engineering schedules and resource plans, ensuring the timely completion of engineering deliverables.
- Monitor engineering progress and performance, identifying any potential risks or delays and implementing corrective actions.
- Prepare regular engineering status reports for the Project Director.
Team Leadership:
- Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to ensure the project’s success.
- Foster a collaborative working environment among team members, promoting effective communication and problem-solving.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
- 15+ years of experience in project engineering within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Proven experience working with compressors, including installation, operation, and maintenance in large-scale projects.
- Previous experience working with ADNOC standards is essential.
- Fluent level of written and spoken English.
