Project Engineer - Aluminum

We are seeking an experienced Aluminium Project Engineer to oversee and manage aluminium fabrication and installation projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning, execution, and coordination with clients, design teams, and production units to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality aluminium products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Oversee aluminium fabrication and installation projects from conception to completion.
• Prepare project schedules, work plans, and resource allocation.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, and consultants to understand project requirements.

2. Design & Technical Supervision

• Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to the design and fabrication teams.
• Recommend design modifications for improved functionality and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

3. Production & Fabrication Coordination

• Work closely with the production team to ensure fabrication follows approved designs.
• Monitor material procurement and usage to minimize waste and ensure efficiency.
• Resolve technical and production-related challenges in collaboration with the factory team.
• Oversee the installation of aluminium structures such as facades, curtain walls, doors, windows, and cladding.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Coordinate with installation teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and provide timely solutions.

4. Quality Control & Safety Compliance

• Ensure all fabricated and installed aluminium products meet quality standards.
• Implement safety procedures and ensure workers adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of fabrication and installation processes.

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain proper records of project progress, materials, and costs.
• Prepare technical reports and submit project status updates to management.
• Ensure all documentation, such as BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and compliance reports, are maintained.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, with a focus on aluminum applications.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering specifically in aluminum fabrication or construction.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification in structural or materials engineering preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools specifically used for aluminum design and execution.
• Strong understanding of building codes and standards relevant to aluminum structures and installations.
• Fluency in English is mandatory, with additional language skills in Arabic or French being a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in addressing aluminum-specific technical issues.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
