Hiring: Project Engineer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction-related aspects of the project, ensuring that work is completed as per the plan, utilizing resources efficiently, maintaining high-quality standards, and adhering to safety regulations. The candidate must have 10 years of experience in the UAE, specifically in RTA project activities.

Preferably, the candidate should be based in the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Construction manager and project team with Utilities and road works, ensuring timely project documentation and controlling within budget, with good quality and in a safe manner.
• Assist the Construction Manager in matters related to authority requirements like NOCs, as-built submissions, and final inspections.
• Review shop drawings and coordinate RFIs with the technical department.
• Prepare accurate daily reports of site activities including information on work done, machinery, manpower, material used, unusual incidents, and visitors to the site.
• Follow up with respective subcontractors on inspections of works by the Consultants and Clients, and monitor and report to the PM on the Request for Approval (RFA) status daily.
• Build and maintain good relationships with inspectors, representatives of the Consultants, Clients, and Authority representatives.
• Ensure safe working methods are used at all times, including issuing or keeping records for Safety and Environmental related Corrective Action Requests (CAR) or Safety Violation notices.
• Control the quality of works at the site including issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) to the parties concerned in coordination with the QA/QC department.
• Develop status reports as required demonstrating project status with respect to progress, submittals, safety, and quality issues.

Qualifications and skills requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of experience in UAE and GCC, with RTA project experience.
