Job description

Position Summary:

Responsible for the direction and performance of the overall Project PMC team including all design procurement and construction Services to ensure the Services are performed in conformance with the project objectives and requirements. Leads the Project Managers, Construction Managers, Commissioning Manager, and the Procurement/Contracts Manager in effectively managing the Project. Promote and maintain liaison with Company’s representative(s). Responsible for the implementation of an effective safety and security program. Has overall responsibility for Project HSE, Cost, Schedule, and Quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Define the Project objectives and philosophy as well as strategy program and procedures to achieve the Project objectives.
  2. Implement and maintain an effective Project safety and security program.
  3. Responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Project Execution Plan.
  4. Implement and maintain effective management planning and cost control systems.
  5. Advise Company of developments that may affect Project costs or schedules.
  6. Identify and evaluate risk that may have an impact on the Project. Maintain a risk register and effective mitigation plans for potential risks to the successful completion of the Project.
  7. Implement and manage change management processes with both the Company and the Contractors.
  8. Implement and maintain an effective quality assurance process.
  9. Be knowledgeable of PMC Agreement terms and conditions and terms and conditions of all Contracts.
  10. Administer the Contracts with the Contractors for the maximum benefit of the Company.
  11. Review and approve all Personnel assignments to the Project.
  12. Manage subordinates through goal setting, counseling, and standards of performance.
  13. Establish and maintain communications to ensure accurate and timely flow of information.
  14. Conduct regular Project reviews with Project staff and Company.
  15. Provide regular Project progress reports to Company.

Qualifications:

  1. Proficient in managing and directing people, communications (both written and verbal), negotiation skills, and computer skills with Microsoft Office products.
  2. B.Sc. in any Engineering discipline or equivalent College degree or equivalent experience.
  3. 15 to 20 years Engineering and Construction experience.
  4. 8 to 10 years experience in Project Management.
  5. Recognized industry experience and expertise.
  6. Demonstrated competency in understanding of the engineering, procurement, and construction processes.

Additional Information:

From Project Award through to the handover from Commissioning to Operations & Maintenance.
