AECOM are currently seeking a Project Director to join our Building Engineering practice. The Project Director will oversee the technical delivery and commercial management of projects on behalf of AECOM. Primary responsibilities will include delivery management, technical and financial risk management, change control, resource monitoring, program management, procurement management, and coordination of specialist subconsultants. You will lead a multidisciplinary technical design team to ensure the realization of our clients' aspirations while aligning our delivery strategy with their expectations.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the successful execution of design projects ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
Identify and mitigate technical and financial risks associated with projects to ensure their successful delivery.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, and designers to refine designs during the preconstruction phase.
Ensure strict adherence to contract terms and conditions throughout the project lifecycle.
Oversee design deliverables and ensure they meet project milestones, technical requirements, and budget constraints.
Prepare detailed project schedules and timelines, coordinating with various teams to ensure all milestones are met.
Identify and mitigate risks during the preconstruction phase ensuring that technical, financial, and regulatory risks are adequately addressed.
Ensure that all design and construction activities comply with local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Facilitate decision-making processes with key stakeholders to ensure timely progress during the preconstruction phase.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
15 years of experience in either Architecture or Structural/MEP design Engineering with the last five years in a director/lead role.
