Job Summary:

Design Mart Contracting LLC is seeking a highly organized and proactive female Project Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of our interior fit-out construction projects by coordinating all aspects of the work, from purchasing arrangements to subcontractor appointments, and managing labor and material logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work Coordination:
  • Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure all project activities are scheduled and executed efficiently.
  • Monitor project timelines, ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Purchase Arrangement:
  • Coordinate with suppliers to arrange timely delivery of materials required for each project.
  • Track orders and manage purchase documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely procurement.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to identify and resolve any purchasing issues.
  • Subcontractor Appointments:
  • Assist in the selection and appointment of subcontractors for various project tasks.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure they are aligned with project schedules and requirements.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and compliance with project standards.
  • Labor Coordination and Storage:
  • Manage the allocation and deployment of labor resources across multiple project sites.
  • Ensure labor teams are appropriately assigned, briefed, and equipped for their tasks.
  • Oversee the storage and management of materials and equipment, ensuring they are readily available when needed.
  • Material Management from Client:
  • Liaise with clients to coordinate the receipt of materials provided by them.
  • Ensure all client-supplied materials are stored, tracked, and used according to project specifications.
  • Document and report any discrepancies or issues related to client-supplied materials.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project-related activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and communication logs.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to project managers and senior management.
  • Ensure all project documentation is organized and accessible for audits and reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project coordination, preferably in the construction or interior fit-out industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and subcontractor management is a plus.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the UAE.
  • Knowledge of local labor laws and regulations.
