Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager specializing in Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) with a fit-out and contractor background to oversee multiple projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing FF&E projects locally & internationally, excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with interior designers, general contractors, developer teams, procurement companies, and factories, and a proven track record of a minimum of 3 successful project completions. Candidates should have at least 4-5 years of experience in a relevant FF&E or fit-out role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements for FF&E projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
- Create and manage budgets for FF&E procurement and installation.
- Source and select appropriate furniture, fixtures, and equipment suppliers/vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate the procurement process, including order placement, tracking, and delivery schedules.
- Create BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and shop drawings for projects.
- Establish and enforce quality standards for FF&E products and installations.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and project requirements.
- Address and resolve any issues related to quality or performance promptly.
- Liaise with architects, designers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication between different project phases and teams.
- Oversee the installation process of furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Manage on-ground FF&E projects to ensure smooth execution.
- Coordinate with installation teams to ensure timely and accurate implementation.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies during the installation phase.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with FF&E projects.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
- Proactively address issues as they arise to avoid project delays.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence.
- Generate regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
- Work to exceed client expectations by delivering high-quality FF&E solutions.
- Address client concerns and feedback throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide post-installation support to address any issues or concerns.
- Ensure that warranties, maintenance instructions, and relevant documentation are provided to the client.
- Evaluate project performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement lessons learned from previous projects to enhance future project outcomes.
Must-have Requirements:
- At least 4-5 years of experience in an FF&E or fit-out role.
- Track record of a minimum of 3 successful project completions.
- Experience in managing design-oriented procurement, including sourcing design-oriented suppliers and materials.
- Knowledge and experience in running an FF&E business.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis and presentation purposes.
- Experience in scheduling programs like Primavera, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
- Experience working in the hospitality or interior design industry.
- Familiarity with FF&E standards and regulations and hospitality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals.
