Project Control Engineer Responsibilities

Working within our project services and technical excellence operational support team, we are looking for Project Control Engineers to help implement robust project controls systems across a portfolio of our projects. You will be leading the full project life cycle process and your responsibilities will include:

1. Developing Work Breakdown Structures and Cost Breakdown Structures of new projects to make sure these are consistent with the Billings Schedule and Earned Value reporting requirements.
2. Updating the regional dashboards for schedule and cost information and sending out reports to the PMs with appropriate analysis.
3. Assisting the Project Managers in variation set-up documents through Jacobs' internal financial system.
4. Developing projects' schedules to make sure this is aligned with Contract requirements.
5. Developing all Estimate At Completions (including updates to the revenue budget) for the portfolio of projects and make sure these are accurate and represent reality.
6. Preparing, analyzing, and publishing Earned Value progress reports.
7. Monitoring billings, accounts receivable, and unbilled on the portfolio and escalating problem areas.
8. Attending project reviews, and preparing related reports to be presented as required.
9. Maintaining project-level Risk Register and having it updated regularly.
10. Making sure that the project compliance activities such as Revenue Recognition and Contingency Management are completed as per the specified schedule.
11. Ensuring that all projects within the portfolio are being close-out appropriately as per the Project Close-out Checklist.
12. Preparing and issuing internal and client weekly and monthly project status reports.

Here's What You'll Need

This is a mid-career level position. As a successful candidate, you will be degree qualified either in an engineering or technical related degree with a background in both scheduling and cost management, with a stronger bias towards cost. You will have experience in Integrated Project Control Systems, revenue recognition, reporting in Earned Value and KPI adherence within the sphere of Engineering or Construction projects.
