Project Control Engineer

Act as the focal point with the client and any contractor Project Controllers as appropriate, to ensure costs and progress are reported accurately, ensure alignment with the project reporting requirements and timely and accurate cost and progress reporting.

Responsibilities include:

1. Reporting of planned vs. actual progress figures.
2. Monitor cost and schedule impact of achievement/non-achievement of project milestones.
3. Identification, monitoring, and reporting against the project critical path providing early warning to the Project Manager of any potential slippages.
4. Reporting of project costs and schedule data.
5. Produce weekly and monthly project cost and planning status reports.
6. Develop and maintain project Work Breakdown Structure for specific scopes of work.
7. Develop and maintain cost and planning control structures in alignment with project Work Breakdown Structure.
8. Manage the project work approval process in terms of accurate cost code allocation and initial budget set-up and approvals.
9. Responsible for the timely control and forecasting of budgets and ensure that the impact of all change requests is properly assessed and included in the budget and schedules if applicable.
10. Assist Project Accountants and Billing Specialists in the Billing process and any other cost-related queries.
11. Assist with the application of baseline and forecast installation unit rates and norms for estimating quantity change impacts.
12. Support earned value progress measurement.
