Project Accounting Manager

We are hiring a Project Accounting Manager for our client in RAK.

Job Purpose

The Project Accounting Manager will manage all project-related accounting, including budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, and forecasting. They will ensure that projects remain on budget, and accurate reports are prepared on a regular basis, and that all financial documentation is accurate and compliant with company and legal standards. The PFM shall possess good networking skills to be able to initiate and drive discussions with various stake holders across the Group.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Undergraduate degree and/ or Postgraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or a relevant subject
2. A fully completed professional qualification (ACA, or CIMA preferred)

Minimum Experience/Skills

1. Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a similar position
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Middle Eastern region
3. Ideal candidate would be a qualified accountant with strong experience in the hospitality sector at a manager level
4. Strong background in risk policy and related processes
5. Past experience working with an international hotel chain would be considered an advantage

Job-Specific Skills

1. Strong knowledge of IFRS
2. Experience in establishing risk management frameworks
3. Analytical skills to identify trends, investigate variances and propose corrective actions
4. Ability to implement, monitor and test internal controls relating to the revenue cycle of the Group
5. High level of accuracy and demonstrates attention to detail
6. Advanced level spreadsheet skills and PC literacy
7. Strong technical skills in terms of financial systems (Micros, Sage)
8. Fluent in English
