Programmer/Engineer

Job description

The position is based in the UAE, with the requirement for international travel. The ideal candidate shall have a strong background in PLC programming and industrial automation, with a passion for developing efficient and robust control systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement PLC programs for industrial automation systems.
• Design control strategies and algorithms to optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PLC systems with other hardware and software components.
• Conduct thorough testing of PLC programs to ensure proper functionality and reliability. Debug and troubleshoot issues that arise during testing or operation.
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and start-up of PLC systems on-site. Ensure that systems are properly configured and calibrated to meet performance requirements.
• Provide training to operators, maintenance personnel, and other stakeholders on the operation and maintenance of PLC systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.

At least two (2) years working experience in:

• CoDeSys and Opto22 Groov Epic.
• JMobile Studio is a plus.
• Ladder logic and function block diagram experience is a plus.
• Proficient in PLC programming languages; structured text is a must.

Other qualifications:

• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Knowledge level:

• Strong in PLC hardware platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric).
• Strong in industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
• Basic OPCUA protocol is an advantage.
• Familiarity with HMI/SCADA systems and software development tools.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
