Job description

Job Purpose

To govern and monitor programs/projects and leverage all tools, resources, and processes to ensure they can be delivered on time and within budget.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Responsible for the management and success of Program / Project.
  2. Reviews Business Cases Documents to ensure budget is monitored and value metrics are tracked for Value & Reporting team during project duration.
  3. Develops and maintains program/project plan by gathering inputs from Delivery team.
  4. Develops and maintains budget by gathering inputs from Delivery team.
  5. Manages expectations of stakeholders impacted by program/project.
  6. Supports project/delivery teams and ensures teams are adhering to PMO processes such as change management, risk & issue management, and resource management of the program/project.
  7. Ensures all materials can easily be consolidated as required by Portfolio Head.
  8. Facilitates and participates objectively in governance forums and ensures required stakeholders are present.
  9. Proactively tracks and manages all risks, issues, and dependencies related to program or project.
  10. Collects, analyses, and derives insights from data captured during program.
  11. Constructively challenges decisions and timelines to ensure timely delivery.
  12. Ensure quality management is embedded throughout program and project lifecycle.
  13. Works with and provides regular updates to Portfolio Head as needed.
  14. Maintains transparency on program status and ensures reports are clear and ethical.
  15. Ensure a true record of the completed project documentation is available on completion of the project.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

  1. University Degree in Technology Management or equivalent.
  2. Total project management experience of 6-10 years.
  3. Minimum 2-4 years of experience in delivering projects in banks in the role of project management, program manager, or portfolio manager.
  4. Previous experience in managing and working with teams.
  5. Project Management Certifications (PMP or similar) is a plus.

Skills

  1. Experience in project management.
  2. Experience in delivering a series of complex and integrated software product solutions and projects is a plus.
  3. Experience in handling interdependencies and an ability to proactively resolve issues.
  4. Experience in governing multiple projects simultaneously.
  5. Experience in managing various project management delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  6. Experience of working with a cross-functional team.
  7. Experience in working with multiple third parties.
  8. Excellent stakeholder management capability.
  9. Excellent communication skills.
  10. Proficient in PPM tools (Clarity, JIRA, MS Project).
  11. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications; PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  12. Hands-on experience with Jira, Jira Align, and Confluence.
  13. Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
  14. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and deliver within tight deadlines.
  15. Willing to learn, collaborate, go the extra mile, and demonstrate a high level of integrity with the ability to handle highly confidential information appropriately.
