Job Summary:
Responsible for managing the production of quality products at the right cost and delivered within the agreed times, along with managing and coordinating the shift and employees.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Production Manager in planning and organizing the shift employees to achieve daily production targets.
- Monitoring and ensuring that all personnel adhere to work instructions and procedures.
- Assisting in the production process for different processing lines of meat and seafood.
- Increasing employee morale and handling queries of shift workers related to personal health matters, accommodation, and yearly leave requests.
- Ensuring processing staff adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
- Monitoring attendance and employee time management, ensuring weekly timesheets are correct.
- Participating in the maintenance of operational controls and compliance with HACCP audit and regulatory guidelines for all activities.
- Ensuring customer service levels by producing quality products within the agreed timeframes.
- Coordinating with the Quality Team to ensure customer complaints are investigated and corrective actions are completed.
- Coordinating with the Maintenance Team to ensure preventative maintenance is carried out on all equipment and that operators have the necessary training regarding preventative maintenance and operations.
- Performing any other assignments as required by the Production Manager.
People Management:
- Ensuring employee development through training, mentoring, and providing skills development.
- Increasing employee morale and handling queries of shift workers related to personal health matters, accommodation, and yearly leave requests.
- Ensuring processing staff adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
- Monitoring attendance and employee time management, ensuring weekly timesheets are correct.
