Job Summary:

Responsible to manage production of quality products at the right cost and delivered within the agreed times, along with managing and coordinating the shift and employees.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Production Manager in planning and organizing the shift employees in achieving daily production targets.
• Monitor and ensure that all personnel adhere to work instructions and procedures.
• Assist in the production process for different processing lines of meat & seafood.
• Increase employee morale and handle queries of shift workers and requests related to personal health matters, accommodation, and yearly leave requests.
• Ensure processing staff adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
• Monitor attendance and employee time management, ensuring weekly timesheets are correct.
• Participate in the maintenance of operational controls and compliance with HACCP audit and regulatory guidelines for all activities.
• Ensure customer service levels by producing quality products within the agreed timeframes.
• Coordinate with the Quality Team to ensure customer complaints are investigated and corrective actions are completed.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Team to ensure preventative maintenance is carried out on all equipment and that operators have the necessary training regarding preventative maintenance and operations.
• Perform any other assignments as required by the Production Manager.

People Management

• Ensure employee development through training, mentoring, and providing skills development.
• Increase employee morale and handle queries of shift workers and requests related to personal health matters, accommodation, and yearly leave requests.
• Ensure processing staff adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
• Monitor attendance and employee time management, ensuring weekly timesheets are correct.
