Production Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team in the optical industry. The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that optical products, including lenses and frames, are produced efficiently, on time, and in compliance with the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

• Supervise daily production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and production targets for optical products.
• Coordinate with the team to resolve any production delays or issues promptly.
• Monitor workflows and ensure the optimal use of resources to minimize downtime.

Quality Control:

• Ensure that all optical products meet strict quality standards and customer requirements.
• Oversee the implementation of regular inspections throughout the production process to detect and resolve any quality issues.
• Work closely with the quality assurance team to implement corrective actions as necessary.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, train, and support the production team to meet performance goals and maintain a high standard of work.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.
• Ensure team members are trained on industry standards, production processes, and safety protocols.

Safety and Compliance:

• Uphold and enforce all health and safety guidelines, ensuring the team follows safety procedures and wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conduct safety audits and implement necessary adjustments to maintain a safe working environment.

Inventory Management:

• Coordinate with the materials team to ensure that raw materials, such as optical lenses and frames, are available for production as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels to help reduce material waste and improve cost efficiency.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for improving production efficiency, waste reduction, and cost-saving strategies.
• Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and drive enhancements to existing processes.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production activities, timekeeping, and inventory management.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production progress, challenges, and key performance metrics to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate's or bachelor's degree in Optics, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the optical industry or a similar field.
• Skills:
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of optical product processes, equipment, and quality control standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software and Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time, on-site position.
• Ability to accommodate dynamic work schedules and adjust to shifting production hours.
