Job Title: Production Management Information System Associate (PMIS Associate)

Job Purpose
The PMIS Associate is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the Production Management Information System to support manufacturing operations. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting production data, ensuring system integrity, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with various departments to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Accountabilities
System Management & Maintenance
- Maintain and update the Production Management Information System (PMIS) to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with IT teams for fixes and upgrades.
- Ensure seamless data integration between PMIS and other enterprise systems (ERP, Production System, MES, etc.).
- Implement system enhancements and process improvements to support production goals.
Data Collection & Analysis
- Gather real-time production data, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze production trends, KPIs, and efficiency metrics to generate actionable insights.
- Prepare and present reports on production efficiency, downtime, quality, and waste reduction.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies through data-driven insights.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with production, quality, and logistics teams to optimize workflows.
- Develop dashboards and automated reports for real-time monitoring.
- Assist in implementing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles using PMIS data.
- Support predictive maintenance and production forecasting initiatives.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies related to production data management.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system processes, configurations, and changes.
- Train end-users on PMIS functionalities, ensuring smooth adoption and use.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between production teams, IT, quality control, and senior management.
- Support digital transformation initiatives in the manufacturing environment.
- Assist in the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies like IoT and AI-driven analytics.

Job and Person Specification
Qualification and Knowledge:
- Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Manufacturing, or a related field. Good reading, spoken and written English. Hindi language is good to have.
- Desirable: MBA in Business Management/Information Systems
Experience:
- Proven experience of 1–3 years in production data management, manufacturing IT, or a related role.
- Experience with ERP (SAP) and proficiency in Excel (VBA, Pivot tables, Macros) and data visualization tools (Power BI).
Knowledge / Desirable Additional Knowhow:
- Understanding and knowledge of ISO 9001
- Previous experience with MES implementation or usage
- Understanding of key production metrics and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proactive approach in identifying and resolving system-related issues.
