Production Manager

Production Manager - Location: Jebel Ali Freezone, Dubai

Our client is a plastic manufacturing company specializing in additives, compounds, and color masterbatches. It delivers high-quality solutions for various industries. With a newly established site in Dubai, the company focuses on optimizing production processes and scaling operations to meet increasing demand.

They are now seeking an experienced and highly motivated Production Manager to oversee and manage the production operations at the Dubai facility. This role is critical to ensuring the manufacturing facility's efficient operation and future scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage daily production operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and staff supervision.
2. Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and cost-efficiency targets.
3. Lead and manage a team of 10–15 employees, including machine operators, lab personnel, and other production staff.
4. Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
5. Develop and implement standardized processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain consistent product quality.
6. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and oversee the adoption of best practices.
7. Monitor and analyze key manufacturing KPIs, including OEE, cycle times, and downtime.
8. Prepare detailed production reports for the Plant Manager and CFO.
9. Ensure efficient use of ERP systems (preferably SAP) for production planning, inventory control, and process tracking.
10. Maintain a safe and compliant working environment by adhering to local regulations and global quality standards.
11. Oversee audits, inspections, and risk assessments.

Must-Have Qualifications:

1. Proven background in the plastic manufacturing industry.
2. At least 5 years of management experience within the industry, with the ability to lead teams of 10–15 employees and scale operations as the plant grows.
3. Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes, including the ability to troubleshoot machinery and operational issues.
4. Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP) for overseeing production planning and inventory management.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Polymer Engineering preferred).
2. Prior experience with a focus on Masterbatch production is highly advantageous.
