Production Lead

Work with operational leads across the business and supply chain to drive improvements in people and processes to avoid surplus/deficit of supplies, in order to meet the operation requirements without hindrance and to maintain the wellbeing and basic needs of personnel.
Controls the daily sea freight activities within Abu Dhabi and all the company operating areas. Ensures to maintain all necessary statistics records and prepares reports for the section. Arranges and ensures the availability of supply vessels for the transportation of materials from Abu Dhabi to all Production offshore installations (Zakum, Umm Al Lulu, Umm Al Dalkh, Umm Shaif, NASR, ABK & Production Islands) while ensuring timely shipment of required materials without compromising on Safety.

Job Specific Accountabilities

• Acts as a planning expert responsible for ensuring safety, environment, and regulatory concerns are addressed, and compliances are maintained for all logistics planning processes.
• Monitors Logistics Planning performance and KPIs, strives for operational enhancement, identifies and analyzes gaps, and executes action plans to ensure business continuity.
• Efficiently manages all major project materials movement for production complexes, barges, and islands.
• Directs the shipment of all production materials, spares, and consumables to offshore sites.
• Liaises with involved Operations parties to ensure vessel performance meets or exceeds requirements.
• Evaluates performance and recommends appropriate actions to ensure and maintain operation requirements, as well as vessel availability ratio.
• Continuously monitors team activity to identify weak links and strengthens them with necessary motivation and training as needed.

Additional Job Specific Accountabilities

• Monitors production operation forecasts to ensure availability of supporting manpower and assets by drafting development plans.
• Monitors Barge Move Bar Chart and coordinates with Fleet Operations Team to ensure the availability of suitable AHTS to support Production barge movements.
• Monitors Offshore Production forecasts to plan accordingly and assigns suitable vessel/s to support long-term and short-term operations.
• Coordinates with Fleet Operations Team to schedule the release of vessels for Maintenance and Repairs (in case of breakdowns) while ensuring adequate quantities of available fleet to support the 24/7 shipping and supply operations.
• Significantly controls the Shutdown Times and ensures not to exceed the agreed 0.4 monthly percentage.
• Constantly coordinates and aligns with Shipping Team and Offshore Site End Users to ensure smooth 24/7 operations.
• Monitors supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Appraises vendor manufacturing ability through on-site visits and measurements.
• Accurately estimates the amount of provisions to be sent offshore on a periodic basis to avoid surplus of supply (avoiding waste and decreasing cost) and to avoid a deficit in order to maintain the wellbeing and basic needs of personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• University bachelor’s degree in supply chain management/Logistics/Marine operation or equivalent professional qualification.
• 6-8 years of relevant experience in Logistics & Shipping/sea freight supply related to the Oil & Gas industry.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant Oil & Gas Business Planning, Supply Planning, and core marine processes, in addition to relevant regulations with sound knowledge in Oil & Gas production operations.
• Proficient in English.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience/background in Offshore Production Operations.
