One of the leading structures steel companies delivering steel design and detailing services for building & industrial construction is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, managing and overseeing production processes to ensure efficient operations, high-quality output, and cost-effective manufacturing. You will play a key role in optimising processes, troubleshooting issues, and implementing innovative solutions to improve productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Management:
Develop and execute production schedules to meet output and quality targets.
Monitor and manage production processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with company standards.
Process Improvement:
Analyze production workflows and identify areas for improvement.
Implement lean manufacturing techniques and cost-saving measures.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure products meet quality standards by maintaining and improving quality control procedures.
Address and resolve quality issues to minimize defects and waste.
Equipment Maintenance:
Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of machinery and equipment.
Coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs and preventative maintenance.
Health Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Promote a culture of safety among team members.
Collaboration & Coordination:
Work closely with the design, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth production operations.
Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials.
Reporting & Analysis:
Maintain accurate production records and generate regular reports for management.
Use data and analytics to track performance metrics and drive improvements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil and Mechanical).
Minimum of 4 years of experience as Production Engineer, preferably in industry e.g. construction, oil & gas, or infrastructure.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and other production planning tools.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
Familiarity with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
