Job Summary

The Sales Manager will manage and lead a team of sales executives and merchandisers. This role includes setting sales goals and KPIs for the team, developing training programs, and creating sales development plans. The Sales Manager will manage the entire sales cycle from prospection through to successful closure and build strong relationships with key customers.

The Sales Manager plays an important role in the success and growth of the organization by increasing sales revenue and market share. They ensure the efficiency of the sales process to achieve the best results for the business.

Job Description

  1. Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the customer base and ensures a strong market presence, achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
  2. Deploy resources considering market dynamics and selling strategies for each trade channel. Devise market segmentation and geographies, ensuring JPs of the sales team are planned accordingly.
  3. Execute all promotional activities and trade marketing activations on time and as per the guidelines. Collaborate with trade marketing and category teams to tailor promotions and activations for each customer per channel.
  4. Analyze market trends, identify new opportunities, and devise GTM plans to achieve revenue targets in collaboration with other departments like marketing and category teams.
  5. Build primary and secondary visibility plans for all customers to increase the Share of Shelf and lead initiatives to increase market shares.
  6. Produce monthly forecasting reports for the region to evaluate the team's performance in achieving targets and budgets based on revenue streams month on month.
  7. Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  8. Manage the A&P budget and track trade spend. Raise claims on a timely basis and keep records of customer documents and contracts.
  9. Analyze ROI by customer/account and take corrective measures to secure profitable business and maintain budgeted margins.
  10. Identify and acquire new customers, as well as up-sell to the existing customer base in the region.
  11. Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competitive status.
  12. Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement.
  13. Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  14. Utilize data analytics to identify trends and opportunities for sales optimization, adapting sales strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
