Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to manage the end-to-end import process for our e-commerce FMCG business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing international suppliers while ensuring compliance with import regulations and optimizing costs. This role requires strong analytical, strategic, and demand planning skills, with expertise in supply chain management, vendor consolidation, and food imports. Proficiency in Excel and a solid understanding of financial calculations related to import processes are essential.

Job Responsibilities:

• Research and source products from international suppliers based on cost, quality, and lead time considerations.
• Manage the full import process for air and sea shipments, ensuring timely delivery to the warehouse.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to optimize supply chain efficiency.
• Conduct detailed inventory analysis to prevent overstocking and minimize carrying costs.
• Ensure compliance with all import regulations, duties, and tariffs, mitigating risks.
• Work closely with internal teams (procurement, logistics, and finance) to streamline operations.
• Analyze import costs and implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining profit margins.
• Continuously review and improve import processes for operational efficiency.
• Track import-related costs, optimize expenses, and manage import-related financial reporting.
• Collaborate with freight forwarders and third-party logistics providers for smooth customs clearance and transit.
• Stay updated on import regulations, trade agreements, and global shipping trends.
• Lead and mentor junior team members to enhance departmental performance.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field; CIPS certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce FMCG imports.
• Expertise in consolidated shipments, landing cost analysis, and demand planning.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with a focus on supply chain optimization.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Proven leadership and decision-making abilities.
